His groundbreaking, widely translated worksfrom the Memory of Fire trilogy to the classic Open Veins of Latin Americameld first hand accounts, fiction, journalism, and political analysis into an entirely new proposition of history, and reality. Galeanos new book, Mirrors: Stories of Almost Everyone assembles hundreds of kaleidoscopic vignettes into a new history told by its unseen, unheard, and forgotten participants. Presented by the Town Hall Center for Civic Life, with Elliott Bay Book Company.
