Dance Chicago is one of the oldest and most critically acclaimed festivals in the world, hosting more than 300 companies and 3,000 artists annually. It presents all dance forms: contemporary, tap, jazz, ethnic, ballet, urban, hip hop, break, etc. Notables to appear in the festival: Dutch National Ballet, Istanbul Dance Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The Joffrey Ballet, The Moscow Ballet, as well as over 3,000 different Chicago area dance organizations. Dance Chicago was founded in 1995 by John Schmitz.
